Megan Bogart, MD
Milam Bogart Dermatology

Dr. Bogart graduated with highest honors from the University of Florida College of Medicine in 2002. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine in Norfolk, VA and dermatology residency at the University of Virginia in 2006, which is nationally recognized for both medical and surgical dermatology. In her third year of dermatology residency, she served as the chief resident. Following residency, Dr. Bogart completed a much sought after Mohs surgical, laser, and cosmetic dermatology fellowship at SkinCare Physicians in Boston, MA. There she was trained by dermatologic surgeons from Harvard, Yale, and Boston University who are nationally and internationally recognized for their contributions to the field of dermatology.

Dr. Bogart has written numerous articles on general and cosmetic dermatology topics. Amongst others, her work has been published in journals including Dermatologic Surgery, Pediatric Dermatology and Archives of Dermatology.

Dr. Bogart is board certified in dermatology, is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, and a member of the American College of Mohs Surgeons. She is also a member of many honorary societies including AOA and Phi Beta Kappa. In addition, she is active in the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.

As a Mohs Surgeon, Dr. Bogart has completed an intense one-year fellowship that is approved by the American College of Mohs Surgeons. She is an expert in all aspects of skin cancer surgery. This includes basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, malignant melanoma, as well as other forms of skin cancer. Dr. Bogart specializes in the diagnosis and repair of skin lesions, including cosmetic reconstruction following skin cancer removal, skin grafts, and skin flaps.

In addition to Mohs surgery, Dr. Bogart has particular expertise in cosmetic dermatology and has been involved in several clinical trials investigating state-of-the-art cosmetic therapies. She specializes in multiple treatments for facial rejuvenation including injection of Botox®, as well as, Restylane®, Juvéderm™ and other filler substances.

Dr. David Bracciano
Bracciano Dermatology

Dr. Bracciano is one of the few dermatologists nationwide to be dual Board Certified in Dermatology and Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery/Facial Plastic Surgery. In order to achieve his level of expertise Dr. Bracciano spent 9 years in postdoctoral training following 4 years of medical school, all completed in his home state of Michigan. He also spent 10 years in private practice in Michigan. During this time he served as Chief of Staff at Huron Medical Center, and was active as a Clinical Professor of Surgery at Michigan State University. Dr. Bracciano is a member of multiple medical societies including the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Florida Medical Society, Sarasota County Medical Society, and their corresponding Osteopathic societies. He is a member of the medical staff at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Manatee Memorial Hospital, and Lakewood Ranch Medical Center.

Dr Rob Finkelstein

Robert P. Finkelstein, D.O., is a licensed physician with board certification in dermatology as well as family medicine. After graduating from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1990, he spent a year at a rotating internship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine.

Upon completing his training in family medicine and dermatology, he worked in private practice in the Philadelphia area as both a clinical dermatologist and associate clinical professor at UMDNJ. In 2002, Dr. Robert Finkelstein relocated to Florida where he spent two years in practice with Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery Group, servicing areas from Tampa to Sarasota. He then started the Center for Skin Wellness, in Sarasota, where he continues today. Dr. Finkelstein resides in Bradenton with his wife, Nancy, and their dog Lola.

Dr. Finkelstein enjoys teaching as well as practicing general and cosmetic dermatology. He maintains an avid interest in medical technology and medical informatics and incorporates these into his practice, streamlining his office and patient care with the use of cutting edge technologies. Dr. Jonathan Lopez

Dr. Lopez grew up in Sarasota, Florida and attended Florida State University where he earned degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry (both summa cum laude) with minors in Mathematics and Biology. He was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and had the opportunity to study abroad in Valencia, Spain. He attended the Morsani College of Medicine at the University of South Florida where he served as class co-president all four years and was awarded admission into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed a scholarly concentration in research and received numerous awards including the Carol M. Petrucelli MD Outstanding Student in Dermatology Award, the Luther McEachern Memorial Award, admission to the Arnold P. Gold Humanism in Medicine Honor Society, the Stephen K. Klasko Dean’s Award for Leadership, the American Medical Association Foundation Scholars Fund Award and the Research Day Outstanding Poster Award.

Dr. Cathy Milam

Dr. Cathy Milam has practiced dermatology in Sarasota Florida since 1989. She has been consistently named as one of the top physicians in her field. Over the past twenty five years Dr. Milam has developed a reputation for providing consistently excellent and compassionate dermatologic care. She excels in the management and diagnosis of skin cancer and skin disease.

Dr. Milam graduated from the University of Florida in 1980 after completing her bachelor of science degree. She graduated from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in 1983. After completing her internship in Internal Medicine at the University of South Florida affiliated hospitals, she then completed her Dermatology residency at USF in 1988. She was initially a full-time faculty member in Dermatology at the College of Medicine; after moving to Sarasota and starting her full-time practice, she remained as an adjunct faculty member for several years.

Dr. Milam is married to Michael Milam, MD. He is an infectious disease specialist who practices with Infectious Disease Associates here in Sarasota. She is the mother of three children, Emily, Allison, and Kimberly.

Dr. Michelle Pennie

Dr. Michelle Pennie is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs Micrographic surgeon. She completed her undergraduate degree at Dartmouth College, medical school and residency at Emory University and fellowship training with Dr. George Hruza at The Laser & Dermatologic Surgery Center in Chesterfield, Missouri.

Dr. Pennie is one of only a handful of dermatologists on the West Coast of Florida who is fellowship trained in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, the most effective and precise treatment for most types of skin cancer. During her year-long fellowship training she performed hundreds of Mohs surgery procedures and advanced reconstructions.

Dr. Pennie has served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Florida, teaching medical student and residents Mohs Micrographic surgery and advanced reconstruction techniques. Dr. Pennie is an active member of many national medical societies including: American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Mohs Surgery, and American Academy of Dermatologic Surgeons

Dr. Priya Nayyar

Dr. Nayyar went on to complete a surgical internship and dermatology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. Her decision to complete an internship in surgery demonstrates a love and commitment to surgery, and a high level of proficiency and comfort with the procedures she performs.

Following residency, Dr. Nayyar was chosen to join what is arguably the top procedural dermatology fellowship in North America at Mt. Sinai Beth Israel Health System in New York City. There she trained in all aspects of procedural dermatology, with a focus on Mohs Micrographic Surgery, hair transplantation and cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Nayyar is one of the only dermatologists in the country to have this extensive training, which is why she has become a respected expert in the fields of dermatologic surgery, hair transplantation and cosmetic procedures.

Dr. Piatigorsky is the group’s Dermatopathologist. With training at Mayo Clinic and the Ackerman Academy, Dr. Piatigorsky brings a renowned level of clinical expertise and experience to the care of our patients. He is board certified in Dermatopathology, Cytopathology, and Anatomic & Clinical Pathology. Dr. Piatigorsky also holds an academic appointment in the Department of Internal Medicine at Nova Southeastern University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Jeffrey R. Hunek, M.D.

Dr. Jeffrey R. Hunek is a northeast Ohio native. He attended John Carroll University, where he graduated early and with honors, earning a bachelors degree in biology. He went on to receive his medical degree from The Medical College of Ohio at Toledo, where he earned multiple awards for his academic achievements, graduating near the top of his class. There, he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society in his junior year.
Dr. Hunek completed his internship in internal medicine at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio, and his residency training at the renowned Henry Ford Health System Department of Dermatology in Detroit, Michigan, also serving as chief resident. Upon completion of residency training, Dr. Hunek relocated with his wife and family to Florida’s west coast where he has been practicing dermatology in Charlotte County since 2005. In his spare time, Dr. Hunek enjoys the outdoors, guitar, live music, sports, and spending time with his wife and four children.
Dr. Hunek provides comprehensive dermatology care for adolescents and adults. While specializing in skin cancer detection and treatment, Dr. Hunek also has an interest in medical dermatology, including psoriasis, eczema, acne, rosacea, skin infections, and autoimmune diseases. He utilizes dermoscopy when evaluating all patients to provide the most thorough evaluation.
Dr. Hunek is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He is also a member of the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery and the Sarasota Dermatological Society

Lee R. Lumpkin, III, M.D.

Dr. Lumpkin grew up all over the world, thanks to his father’s career as an Air Force officer. He was PHI BETA KAPPA at the University of Texas; went to the Albany Medical College of Union University in Albany, New York; and completed his dermatology residency at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. While at Baylor, he published several journal articles including the first study documenting the transmission of leprosy from armadillos to humans. Other journal entries include articles about lupus erythematosus, metastatic bladder cancer and squamous cell skin cancer, among other things. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Dermatology.After finishing his residency, Dr. Lumpkin practiced for 2 years in San Antonio, TX. For the next 22 years he had a practice in upstate New York, where his wife hails from. His practice in New York was an extremely busy medical/surgical practice, welcoming patients of all ages. He has been married for over 30 years and has 3 children, 2 of whom graduated from Venice High School.

Monica L. Walker, M.D.

Dr. Walker is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and has been practicing dermatology and dermatologic surgery for over 25 years.
She was born in West Virginia and grew up in the former Panama Canal Zone. One of five siblings, Dr. Walker left Panama in 1978, to attend the University of South Alabama. She was accepted to the Marshall University School of Medicine in West Virginia, where she earned her medical degree. Upon graduation, she pursued a specialty in internal medicine at the University Hospital (Affiliate of University of Florida), Jacksonville, FL; and later specialized in dermatology and dermatologic surgery at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, PA.
Dr. Walker also trained with the US Navy in tropical medicine and dermatology and spent a three-month rotation with the Department of Dermatology at the University of Chile, Santiago, Chile. She has co-authored several dermatology publications.
She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and the Sarasota County Medical Society. She is also a contributor to Camp Discovery, a summer camp for children with skin diseases.
In addition to her professional life, she keeps quite busy meeting her responsibilities as a mother. Her interests include tennis, swimming, hiking and protecting the environment.

Joseph F. Greco, M.D.
