Dr. Nayyar graduated magna cum laude from Temple University with a degree in Psychology and Neuroscience and subsequently attended SUNY Downstate Medical School. During medical school, Dr. Nayyar was accepted into the highly competitive Clinical Research Training program at the world-renowned National Institute of Health. Only 40 students across the country are selected for this prestigious program each year. Dr. Nayyar’s ability to diagnose and treat skin cancer is unparalleled because of the cutting-edge research she conducted.

Dr. Nayyar went on to complete a surgical internship and dermatology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. Her decision to complete an internship in surgery demonstrates a love and commitment to surgery, and a high level of proficiency and comfort with the procedures she performs.

Following residency, Dr. Nayyar was chosen to join what is arguably the top procedural dermatology fellowship in North America at Mt. Sinai Beth Israel Health System in New York City. There she trained in all aspects of procedural dermatology, with a focus on Mohs Micrographic Surgery, hair transplantation and cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Nayyar is one of the only dermatologists in the country to have this extensive training, which is why she has become a respected expert in the fields of dermatologic surgery, hair transplantation and cosmetic procedures.
