Dr. Michelle Pennie is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs Micrographic surgeon. She completed her undergraduate degree at Dartmouth College, medical school and residency at Emory University and fellowship training with Dr. George Hruza at The Laser & Dermatologic Surgery Center in Chesterfield, Missouri.

Exceptionally Qualified

Dr. Pennie is one of only a handful of dermatologists on the West Coast of Florida who is fellowship trained in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, the most effective and precise treatment for most types of skin cancer. During her year-long fellowship training she performed hundreds of Mohs surgery procedures and advanced reconstructions.

Dr. Pennie has served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Florida, teaching medical student and residents Mohs Micrographic surgery and advanced reconstruction techniques. Dr. Pennie is an active member of many national medical societies including: American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Mohs Surgery, and American Academy of Dermatologic Surgeons

In addition to her technical abilities and substantial experience, Dr. Pennie values her patients’ comfort and trust throughout their experience at Paradise Dermatology. All patients will be greeted warmly by staff members in the office and on the phone. Dr. Pennie takes the time to listen to her patients and address questions that arise. Dr. Pennie takes the time before procedures such as Mohs surgery to explain how and why the procedure is performed. She strives to ensure her patients feel comfortable and confident they made the right decision.

Dr. Pennie is originally from Portland, Oregon. She keeps busy with her twin boys, Christopher and Thomas, with travel, fitness and outdoor sports
