Dr. Joseph F. Greco is a nationally recognized leader in dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery. He is the Medical Director for Greco Dermatology in Sarasota, Florida. Greco Dermatology offers specialized skin cancer and lesion clinics dedicated to the surveillance, diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, lesions, and non-healing growths as well as Mohs micrographic surgery, regenerative dermatology, and hair restoration.
Dr. Greco is a double board certified, fellowship trained dermatologist and Mohs surgeon. He completed his fellowship training in Mohs micrographic surgery, cutaneous oncology and laser surgery at The David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and is board certified by the American Academy of Dermatology in both Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Greco spent 15 years in Los Angeles at UCLA where he was the Director of UCLA Santa Monica Dermatology as well as Health Sciences Associate Clinical Professor in the Division of Dermatology, Department of Medicine. In addition to being fellowship trained himself, Dr. Greco was privileged to have participated in the training of 14 Mohs micrographic surgery fellows while at UCLA.
Dr. Greco has been recognized as one of Southern California’s rising stars, a TopDoctor in Los Angeles as well as a SuperDoctor in Southern California from 2016-2022. He has an extensive list of book chapters and journal articles and has appeared as a faculty presenter at national conferences and workshops on surgical anatomy, advanced surgical reconstructive techniques, cutaneous oncology, hair transplantation and novel laser and light source technologies.
Greco Dermatology also specializes in regenerative dermatology and hair restoration using proprietary growth factor and cytokine rich plasma therapies for bio-enhanced skin rejuvenation, hair restoration and topical skin care. Dr. Greco is a third-generation hair transplant surgeon following in the footsteps of his grandfather, Dr. Joseph Greco, Sr, a pioneer in the field and his father, Joseph Greco, PhD, PAC, a world-renowned hair transplant surgeon based in Sarasota for over 30 years.
Dr. Greco is originally from Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania. He currently lives in Sarasota with his wife Vicky and their 3 beautiful children, Annabelle, Sophia, and Joey.
